If you're in the mood to laugh then I would highly suggest this book!

Bella Rossi needs help. Her Italian-turned-Texan parents have given her the family wedding planning business and she has decided to turn away from doing traditional weddings to themed ones instead. When she quickly books a "Boot Scoot'n" wedding, she's sure all is going well until she realizes she knows nothing about country music because her family only listens to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin! When she hires the perfect "DJ" her only worries are now keeping her lawsuit-making aunt and pizza parlor owner of an uncle out of trouble.

Ms. Thompson did an excellent job of making this "clash of the cultures" book light and fun. I especially love how she expressed the family's deep faith in both serious and humorous ways.

I gave this book a rating of 3 only because the beginning and backstories took just a tad too long in my opinion for how short the book is. The plot, dialog and sentence structure were all very well developed, I thought and I will come back to this book again in the future.

I love books with a purpose, a hidden or sometimes not so hidden meaning to them. This is one such book.

I must confess that the first time I read it I found the beginning slow and weighty. Not exactly the book I was looking for at the time. After going through it again though I realized that I missed the Author's note at the beginning of the book and therefore did not fully understand the books purpose.

This book is classified as science-fiction but the reason behind it is anything but. Human trafficking and slavery are very real and is still practiced  the world over. This story is a powerful book about one girl's journey from slavery to freedom and learning to find her voice again.

As purely science-fiction, I enjoyed this book. After learning about it's true meaning and purpose, I love this book. Ms. Kreitzer did a wonderful job writing a book that, even during the "slow" parts, draws you in while simultaneously teaching you about the perils that are still going on in our society today. I will certainly be back for more from this author.

This was such a cute book about a very smart lizard named Lawrence who goes on an adventure.

This is a great story to read to your children or with them if you have older ones during any type of quiet time. The only drawback to this book is there are no pictures. For the active mind of a child, however, pictures are sometimes not needed.

This was a very interesting story about a very special young woman, Zoe Masterson, who finds out that she's a very powerful psychokinetic. All of a sudden she's thrust into a world where she finally feels like she belongs. The problem? The king wants her dead.

In the book you follow Zoe and her friends Stevie, Todd, Icarus and a few others as they try to bring peace and rightfulness to their world.

I've read other books about people having special powers before but this one definitely puts a new spin on it that makes it unique and totally worth reading. It's not complicated but it's also not overly simplistic either. All in all I think this is a good read.

This book was even better than the first! If you like reading about strong, opinionated women then you need to read this book.

When Marcos Calderon "buys" Gabriela Morales for the weekend she's not at all impressed with his intentions to deceive his grandmother into thinking that Gabriela is Marcos' fiancé. Everything goes upside-down and backwards when Gabriela, Abuela Coqui and Marcos' sister Marisol turn the tables on him.

This was such a fun read that left me laughing till I cried. It's a sarcastic and quirky summer read that is long enough to have a well developed plot but short enough to get through in one sitting.

Wild For You By Sophia Knightly

After borrowing this book from a friend first I just had to buy my own copy! From the first chapter it's sexy, fun and engaging.

Marisol Calderon is a naive young woman trying to stay out of her overprotective brother, Marcos', bubble. So when Marcos believes her to be in danger from the guy who's been stalking her he does what every brother would do. He sends his best friend, who also happens to be a detective, to play bodyguard.

Clay Blackthorne has sworn off marriage. So when he agrees to marry Marisol, in name only, to protect her why does it seem like it's turning into the real deal?

This book was entertaining with it's sarcasm and the depth of the characters personalities  was refreshing. It's not too long of a book, about 160 pages, but it doesn't feel rushed or missing anything.  I believe Ms. Knightly did a wonderful job with this book.
